Statutory & Tax Senior Accountant (Portugal)

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and support the delivery of statutory financial statements in accordance with Portuguese GAAP (SNC)

Ensure accurate and timely execution of tax compliance activities (Corporate Income Tax – IRC, VAT, and other local requirements)

Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including quarterly Balance Sheet reconciliation process

Support external audits and liaise with auditors and advisors as needed

Monitor changes in local accounting and tax regulations

Ensure strong controls, documentation, and audit readiness

Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in statutory accounting and tax, ideally within a multinational environment

Strong knowledge of Portuguese accounting standards (SNC) and local tax regulations

Proven experience supporting Portuguese statutory financial statements

Certified Contabilista Certificado (TOC/CC) – required
