Position: SAP Project Manager
Location: Porto, Portugal | Hybrid – 2 to 3 times per month in the office
Main responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end master data migration projects covering product, packaging & labeling, customer, supplier, finance, workshop, marketing master data.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation aligned with ERP migration objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams including data migration experts, functional consultants, business stakeholders, and IT resources.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with business and technical leaders.
- Oversee data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Manage risks, issues, and dependencies related to master data migration, implementing mitigation plans proactively.
- Facilitate communication and status reporting to stakeholders, including senior management and project sponsors.
- Ensure compliance with data governance standards and organizational policies throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and support go-live readiness for master data cutover.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance master data management processes and tools.
- Manage vendor or third-party partner relationships involved in data migration efforts.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of project management experience in ERP implementations or data migration projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or related field
- Proven track record managing material master, customer master, and supplier master data migration initiatives
- Strong knowledge of ERP master data structures, ideally SAP (Material Management, Sales & Distribution, Supplier Management)
- Project management certification preferred
- Experience with project management tools such as cplace, JIRA
