We are looking for an IT Cloud Infrastructure Administrator to support production environments and infrastructure delivery within an Agile and DevOps organisation.
You will help ensure that production requirements are considered throughout the project lifecycle—from solution design and backlog definition to deployment, monitoring, incident resolution, and continuous improvement.
The role combines infrastructure operations, container platforms, observability, DevOps practices, security, and production reliability. You will work closely with development, infrastructure, security, and production-support teams to deliver stable and well-monitored services.
-
Contribute to the definition of technical and infrastructure solutions;
-
Incorporate production, infrastructure, resilience, security, monitoring, and scalability requirements into project planning;
-
Add technical and operational user stories to product backlogs;
-
Help development teams deliver solutions securely and efficiently;
-
Coordinate the infrastructure expertise and services required by applications;
-
Provision and support production and non-production environments;
-
Facilitate deployments across technical environments;
-
Verify environment readiness, including backup and restore, access, capacity, and performance;
-
Implement and maintain service monitoring and supervision;
-
Identify operational blockers involving security, networks, connectivity, or infrastructure;
-
Define service levels, operational indicators, and monitoring requirements;
-
Maintain installation, operating, and recovery documentation;
-
Ensure that backup and switchover plans exist and are tested;
-
Support releases and resolve production incidents within agreed SLAs;
-
Promote automation, performance improvement, and operational efficiency;
-
Share application-production best practices with project and product teams;
-
Collaborate with Application Production Support on continuous-improvement initiatives.
-
At least two to three years of experience in infrastructure, IT operations, production engineering, DevOps, or a similar role;
-
Practical knowledge of IT infrastructure and production operations;
-
Experience supporting production and non-production environments;
-
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes;
-
Knowledge of Linux and Windows systems;
-
Understanding of DevOps practices and delivery pipelines;
-
Experience with service monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution;
-
Awareness of IT risk, cybersecurity, resilience, and production-security requirements;
-
Ability to support deployment and release activities;
-
Experience working in an Agile environment;
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
-
English proficiency at C1 level;
-
Practical working knowledge of French;
-
Ability to travel outside Portugal when required.
Experience with several of the following technologies will be valuable. Candidates are not expected to be equally specialised in every tool:
-
Docker and Kubernetes;
-
Helm and OpenShift;
-
Elasticsearch, Grafana, Dynatrace, or similar monitoring platforms;
-
GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, or comparable DevOps tools;
-
Ansible or another automation and configuration-management solution;
-
Linux and Windows;
-
Mattermost or similar collaboration platforms.
-
Experience defining production indicators or service-level metrics;
-
Knowledge of backup, restore, switchover, or disaster-recovery procedures;
-
Experience reviewing infrastructure access and traceability;
-
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices;
-
Experience with application-production support;
-
Exposure to security reviews or operational-risk assessments;
-
Experience improving deployment automation or infrastructure performance;
-
Project-coordination experience;
-
Experience coaching teams on production and operational best practices.
The ideal candidate is an infrastructure and operations professional who understands that production reliability begins during solution design—not only after deployment.
-
Anticipate production, monitoring, resilience, and security needs early;
-
Are comfortable working with containerised platforms and modern DevOps tooling;
-
Investigate operational issues methodically and take ownership through resolution;
-
Collaborate effectively with development, infrastructure, security, and support teams;
-
Translate operational requirements into clear backlog items and technical actions;
-
Balance delivery speed with stability, compliance, and maintainability;
-
Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
-
Document environments, deployments, and recovery procedures accurately;
-
Share knowledge and help teams adopt stronger production practices;
-
Look for opportunities to automate and continuously improve operations.
