About the Role:
We are looking for a CDP to join our dynamic kitchen team. You will work alongside Head Chef David Barata , who has experience in some of the best Michelin-starred restaurants in Portugal. This is an opportunity to be part of a young and enthusiastic team, helping to consolidate Austa as a leading gastronomic destination.
Main Responsibilities
- To prepare and execute dishes with a high standard of quality.
- Following recipes, managing mise-en-place, and ensuring consistency in preparations.
- Organize and rotate stock according to the FIFO method.
- Receive, verify, and store orders appropriately.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, complying with HACCP standards.
- Participate in the development of new dishes and contribute ideas.
- Collaborate and communicate openly and respectfully with the team.
Candidate Profile
- Work experience in the hot section
- Prior experience in professional kitchens and a passion for quality products.
- A desire to learn and grow in a creative and demanding environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Team spirit, openness to feedback, and ability to collaborate.
- Responsibility, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary (€1,300–€1,800 gross/month, depending on experience)
- Tips share (approximately €300–€500+ per month, depending on the season)
- 40-hour work week (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM) with two consecutive days off (Sunday and Monday)
- 6 days of vacation - Paid at end of contract
