Join Our Creative Editing Team.
Get ready to make an impact! We're looking for a Junior Video Editor who is ready to learn and get stuck in! This is a creative role; driving our ad content and marketing.
Role Overview
You'll be working closely with our marketing and content team members, helping us to produce compelling and quality content that gets seen by thousands of people every day.
This is an ideal role for someone early in their editing career who wants to develop their skills in a small, supportive team! You will primarily be working with existing clips, and proven concepts, working your creative magic to create new concept variations for different campaigns, audiences and platforms.
You don't need years of experience or a big portfolio. What matters most is that you have a good eye for editing and are excited to learn and improve!
Responsibilities
Editing & Execution
- Edit short-form content for designated short-form platforms
- Build strong hooks and intros that match platform expectations
- To use existing content and repurpose this in exciting and innovative ways to get the most out of our footage and attract new customers.
- Edit footage for paid social advertising platforms such as Meta, Google and YouTube.
- Pull moments from long-form content and turn them into effective clips
- Create thumbnail concepts for your edits
- Apply and animate basic motion graphics to video.
- Create smooth and professional edits. You will be responsible for audio processing, sound design, colour correction when necessary.
- Ensure that videos are ready for delivery across multiple platforms.
Creative Collaboration
- Work with our Creative and Marketing teams, suggesting ideas, formats, angles and concepts.
- Support content outlining when needed.
- Communicate quickly about gaps that impact content quality or workflow.
- Participate in creative reviews and implement feedback and edits efficiently.
Platform Fluency
- Understanding of how to translate brand voice into ads and capture the audience.
- An interesting in video marketing, knowledge of what others are doing and changing trends in video editing.
- Apply brand tone, formatting, and structure consistently across ads.
- Help keep ad content fresh and competitive.
Systems and Optimisation
- You are a self-starter and like to take initiative, get stuck in and push projects forward.
- Organise your own time, your project files and maintain backups and a clear workflow.
- Use Adobe Premier, Google Drive, Slack, Frame.io, Notion.
- Follow SOPs for editing, exporting, naming and publishing.
- Keep task and project status updated so the rest of the team always know what’s in progress.
Experience & Requirements
- This is an entry-level role! We are not expecting you to have years of experience. A passion for video, editing and a can-do attitude is more valuable!
- Proficiency in Adobe Premier Pro is require
- Knowledge on the full Adobe Suite is desirable
- This is purely an editor role, you will not be required to film content. You must have the following:
- An eye for shot selection and visual storytelling with an ability to craft clean hooks
- Be skilled in cutting footage cleanly and efficiently
- Be skilled in developing smooth transitions between shots with an understanding of pacing and audience attention
- Ability to take feedback, adapt to the content market, iterate fast, and deliver consistently.
- Experience working remotely and independently.
- Very strong written and spoken English.Benefits
