We are looking for a Business Analyst (French Speaker)
CONTEXT
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join an international Agile team supporting actuarial applications within a major banking and insurance environment.
This role combines functional Business Analysis with application support responsibilities. You will work closely with the Product Owner to manage the squad backlog and contribute to the delivery of new functionalities while ensuring the stability and support of business-critical actuarial applications.
You will interact daily with business users, technical teams, and offshore development teams in an international environment where French is the primary working language. Strong SQL skills, advanced Excel/VBA knowledge, and excellent communication abilities are key to succeeding in this position.
MAIN MISSION
To support, maintain, and continuously improve a portfolio of actuarial applications by combining Business Analysis, application support, and Agile delivery practices, ensuring high service quality for business users while contributing to the evolution of the platform.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to build, prioritize, and maintain the squad backlog.
- Gather, analyse, and clarify business requirements for new developments and enhancements.
- Write and manage User Stories throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle.
- Coordinate activities with business users, technical teams, and offshore development teams.
- Provide functional and technical support for business-critical actuarial applications.
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve production incidents within agreed SLAs.
- Analyse application issues using SQL and other support tools.
- Support business users by troubleshooting application and data-related issues.
- Contribute to testing activities, including non-regression and sanity testing.
- Prepare and maintain functional and technical documentation, knowledge bases, and operational procedures.
- Explain technical changes, security fixes, and platform evolutions to business stakeholders.
- Promote continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, security policies, and Agile best practices.
PROFILE & SKILLS
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst with Application Support responsibilities.
- Strong experience working in Agile environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience providing functional and technical support to business users.
- Comfortable interacting with business stakeholders and translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Experience managing incidents and coordinating support activities.
- Autonomous, proactive, and client-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience within Banking, Insurance, or Actuarial environments is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of actuarial processes or actuarial systems is considered a significant plus.
- Native or near-native French (C1 mandatory).
- English B2 or above.
