We are currently looking for an Associate Director, Brand Outsourcing Strategy and Offering Development to join IQVIA!
Commercial Brand Outsourcing represents a significant share of sales across launch and established brand portfolios of pharmaceutical companies that can be deprioritized, with potential revenue and profit growth remaining untapped.
In this key role, you will be responsible for supporting the Brand Outsourcing Offering within the Global Commercial Solutions business unit, reporting to the Global Head of Commercial Brand Outsourcing. It will have three key elements: offering strategy and development, sales enablement (including some client engagement), and operational alignment.
You will coordinate with stakeholders across global and local business units, working with regional teams to identify and execute growth opportunities. The role will be high-profile and dynamic.
Essential Functions
Leads the hunt for new assets, acquisitions, and/or partner channels to accelerate portfolio expansion and market potential. Drives the development of complete offerings (from I&A through C&S).
Ensures offering content and feature levels are competitive and sufficient to generate targeted revenue growth and market penetration.
Makes offering lifecycle decisions necessary to deliver business results (including sunset or extension decisions).
Incorporates IQVIA strategic direction into offering management decisions within and across business lines. Recognized as the spokesperson for IQVIA on its offerings both internally and externally.
Secures organizational agreement on the complete go-to-market plan and budget required for implementation.
Manages cross-functional teams to ensure the offerings meet customer needs and are economically and technically viable and deliverable.
Approves research plans to ensure outputs fulfill research objectives and coaches others on market analytics best practices. Endorses conclusions and uses recommendations from market analytics to make business and planning decisions.
Brings external thought leadership to bear in the client environment. Recognizes the impact of industry developments that may influence IQVIA products, services, or trends. Forecasts trends, identifies potential impacts, and applies knowledge to offering development and business line strategy.
Drives achievement of objectives for an increasingly larger or more complex area of business line responsibility (or multiple smaller areas) and ensures execution of plans. Proactively shapes and scopes interdependencies with other business line stakeholders and functions to achieve business line goals.
Determines and executes plans for recovery, contingency, and mitigation to address market, corporate, or other impacts. Leverages, builds, and maintains IQVIA relationships that contribute to successful execution of plans. Proactively engages and manages stakeholders, leads interdependent teams, and demonstrates complete ownership of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Strategy & Innovation
Support the development and evolution of the global BO offering, ensuring it meets client needs and aligns with IQVIA’s broader commercial strategy to drive more technology-, data-, and AI-enabled offerings.
Act as a solution and subject matter expert for internal clients to support business development teams, including throughout RFIs and RFPs.
Coordinate with regional teams to identify, assess, and activate opportunities for Brand Outsourcing services, leveraging local insights and capabilities.
Manage key internal and external stakeholders, fostering alignment, engagement, and accountability across functions and geographies.
GTM enablement
Enhance BO offering awareness by actively engaging with account teams and regional/local BD stakeholders to communicate the BO offering. Support the marketing team in the preparation of BO-specific and targeted promotional materials/activities (webinars, articles, etc.) to drive internal and external awareness of the IQVIA offering.
Lead regular internal BD/account team meetings to share client and market demands and tailor the core outsourcing offering to different needs.
Support the development of pricing and commercial models for different client segments.
Lead/support BO pipeline tracking and expansion, with regular pipeline reviews across all markets (regional calls and bi-weekly sales calls).
Proactively identify opportunities using insights and data for internal teams to leverage in client discussions.
Support RFP/RFI processes as an SME, sharing best practices and experience from other global deals.
Support new and existing BO projects with data-driven analytics and consulting insights.
Organizational Alignment & Operating Model
Share best practices, proposal innovation, and commercial learnings across all markets.
Lead and deliver the global RBU pipeline cadence, including, for example, aligning product codes.
Support the development of compliance, quality, and governance processes.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred.
7+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biopharma, healthcare services, or agency environments, including experience in marketing, sales, or commercial roles, with at least 4 years in senior management or leadership positions.
Proven experience in offering development, portfolio management, and/or go-to-market (GTM) strategy.
Demonstrable track record in managing portfolio brands and driving offering or commercial strategy.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial models, brand strategy, and outsourcing solutions.
Experience supporting business development activities, including RFPs, RFIs, and pipeline development.
Strong stakeholder management experience across global and regional teams.
Strategic mindset with the ability to translate industry trends, including data, technology, and AI, into actionable plans.
Strong strategic business and industry awareness.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management capabilities.
Strong team player with the ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment, managing changing priorities and demanding timelines.

Commercial acumen with a focus on revenue growth and client value creation.
Proficiency in MS Office and general digital tools; knowledge of IQVIA offerings, systems, or similar environments is preferred.
