Sous Chef – Instant Crunch (New Location).
Instant Crunch is a brunch restaurant (est. 2024). We cook food that people want to eat again and again, combining classic dishes with creative twists. Due to our expansion and the opening of a new restaurant, we are looking for a Sous Chef.
The Role
You will work closely with the Head Chef as their right hand. Your primary focus is team management, task delegation, and maintaining the kitchen's pace. We need someone who avoids drama, focuses on problem-solving, and genuinely enjoys the operational process.
Responsibilities:
Service Management: Running the pass, managing ticket times, and ensuring consistent plating.
Team Leadership: Organizing the line, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
Quality Control: Supervising prep work and ensuring all dishes meet our standards.
Logistics: Managing inventory, ordering products, and liaising with suppliers.
Operations: Organizing mise en place, maintaining hygiene standards, and proper food storage.
Communication: Coordinating with the Front of House to ensure smooth service.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Lead.
Languages: English is required; Portuguese is a strong advantage.
Ability to lead a team and stay calm during high-volume shifts.
Strong focus on cleanliness and prep organization.
A proactive attitude — looking for results rather than just "putting in hours."
