Through this partnership Legends is supporting FC Porto in developing revolutionary business model that consists of:
- Transforming the fan experience supporting global partnerships as the Food and Beverage experience at Estádio do Dragão, namely in FC Porto Partner’s Club VIP boxes and seats.
- Collaborate with FC Porto to explore opportunities to improve the overall fan experience at the stadium and enhance commercial opportunities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking to recruit a Junior Accountant to support the Finance function and work closely with the Finance Manager, FC Porto in the day-to-day financial management of the business.
This role will provide operational and analytical support across accounting, reconciliations, reporting and financial control, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
The position is intended for a candidate with a solid accounting foundation who is looking to develop within a growing and dynamic business environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes.
- Support preparation of financial reports and internal management information.
- Assist in VAT preparation and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Monitor supplier accounts and support accounts payable processes.
- Work with external accountants to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Provide ad-hoc support on budgeting, cost analysis and financial projects.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, finance or audit roles.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Experience working with accounting systems and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
Desirable:
- Experience working with external accounting firms or shared finance structures.
- Familiarity with VAT processes and financial reporting requirements in Portugal.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and operational environment.
- English Speaking.
