We are looking for a proactive Automation Engineer with strong Playwright expertise to join a collaborative technology team based in Lisbon.
You will contribute to the design and evolution of reliable test automation solutions, working closely with Product Owners, QA professionals and development teams. Your work will help improve test coverage, accelerate delivery cycles and ensure the quality of business-critical digital products.

Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.

Build scalable, reliable and reusable test automation solutions.

Collaborate with Product Owners, QA teams and developers to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.

Create clear, structured test cases that ensure comprehensive functional and regression coverage.

Execute automated and manual tests, analyse results and report defects.

Investigate failures, identify root causes and support defect resolution.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and delivery.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, standards and automation frameworks.

Act as a bridge between QA and development teams, ensuring alignment on quality objectives.

Promote quality engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

At least 3 years of professional experience in test automation.

Strong hands-on proficiency with Playwright.

Solid understanding of the software testing lifecycle, including requirement analysis, scenario design, test execution and defect reporting.

Practical experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Programming experience with at least one of the following languages:

Experience creating and maintaining automated functional and regression tests.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong TypeScript or JavaScript knowledge for Playwright automation.

Experience with API testing.

Knowledge of Git and modern version-control workflows.

Familiarity with test reporting, quality metrics and defect-management tools.

Experience working closely with Product Owners and multidisciplinary development teams.

Knowledge of continuous testing and quality engineering practices.

Experience combining automated and exploratory or manual testing.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Automation Engineer who combines strong Playwright expertise with a broad understanding of software quality.
You are comfortable analysing business requirements, identifying the most relevant test scenarios and turning them into maintainable automated tests. You understand how automation fits into CI/CD pipelines and how it contributes to faster, safer releases.
You are proactive, collaborative and able to communicate effectively with Product Owners, QA professionals and developers. You take ownership of quality, investigate failures thoroughly and continuously look for ways to improve testing processes and automation frameworks.
