How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
We are seeking an experienced corporate professional to guide the long-term operational maturity of our global HR services footprint. As the Deputy GPO HR Process Transformation & Standardization (m/f) GBS you will serve as the strategic counterpart to the Global Process Owner, effectively bridging the gap between high-level vision and operational execution across our international network.
Based in our established hub in Lisbon,Portugal you will hold comprehensive global accountability for fostering best practice sharing between regions, driving process standardisation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across our entire Global Business Services (GBS) network—encompassing Europe (Portugal, France, Poland), India, and South America. Your mission is to own and execute a multi-year roadmap centered on process simplification, organizational maturity, and cross-cultural harmonization. You will achieve this by focusing on business architecture, operational governance, and process design, relying on your strong lateral leadership and adaptive communication skills.
- Global Roadmap Stewardship: Translate the GPO’s long-term vision into structured, phased global implementation plans. Oversee milestone delivery across all regional hubs to ensure sustainable, long-term operational maturity.
- Cohesive culture: Act with autonomy to align and elevate HR and Payroll workflows across Europe, India, and South America. Map current versus future-state models, eliminate regional redundancies, and embed a cohesive global governance framework. Foster a culture of best practice sharing between regions.
- Process Excellence & Efficiency: Utilise continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean or Six Sigma) to refine service delivery. Streamline cross-border hand-offs and evaluate digital or automation tools (RPA/AI) based strictly on their ability to support process efficiency.
- Transversal Collaboration: Serve as a unifying leader across our global footprint. Connect and align diverse regional hubs, dismantle operational silos, and foster a collaborative culture of best-practice exchange.
- Business-to-Technology Interface: Partner closely with HR, Finance, and IT project teams to ensure core system platforms (including Workday) are configured to support and enable your mandated global process designs, rather than defining them.
- Performance Architecture & Governance: Define, monitor, and evolve global KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs). Provide structured analysis, monitor financial efficiency targets, and report operational risks directly to the GPO.
Are you a MATCH?
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience within Human Resources, GBS/ Shared Services, or Global Business Operations, including at least 5 years in a (transversal) leadership role focused on global process design, roadmap execution, and continuous improvement.
- GBS Maturity: Proven experience operating within established, international GBS environments, with a strong understanding of international operational excellence frameworks.
- Roadmap Delivery: A track record of translating corporate strategy into structured, multi-year operational deployment plans.
- Transferable Skill Sets: The ability to govern complex, multi-year roadmaps, manage risk, and drive disciplined milestone execution. Expertise in process mapping, lean methodologies, root-cause analysis, and eliminating operational waste.
- Transversal Leadership: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to navigate complex corporate matrices and influence cross-cultural teams across Europe, India, and South America without direct hierarchical authority.
- Education & Credentials: University degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline. Professional qualifications in Lean Six Sigma, project management (PMP/Prince2), or change management are highly valued.
- Language & Mobility: Fluency in English is mandatory. Flexibility for occasional international travel is required to engage with regional stakeholders across South America, APAC, and European centres (>5%).
