About the role
We are looking for a Compliance Graduate in Lisbon to support the EU Compliance Team. This role requires an individual with good organizational skills, innovative ideas and a pro-active and solution orientated mindset. The successful candidate will collaborate mainly with the Compliance team with the in Frankfurt, the Compliance Officers in the sub-ordinated Branches and the head office in Zurich.

What you'll do
- Support periodic and event-driven reviews of existing clients and distribution partners, including the review of client information, corporate documentation, ownership structures and regulatory status;
- Perform or support sanctions, PEP, adverse-media and other compliance screening, identifying missing, outdated or inconsistent information and following up with relevant stakeholders;
- Support enhanced due diligence reviews where required and escalate potential financial crime, reputational or regulatory concerns promptly to the relevant Compliance Officer;
- Maintain accurate compliance records, registers and tracking logs, and monitor outstanding actions to support timely completion of reviews;
- Assist with maintaining compliance policies, procedures and internal records;
- Support compliance training, staff communications, regulatory research and responses to internal information requests, audits and regulatory reviews;
- Assist with ad hoc compliance projects and administrative tasks, working collaboratively with local Compliance Officers and relevant teams in other offices.
What you'll need
- A university degree, preferably in law, finance, economics, business, criminology or another relevant subject;
- A genuine interest in compliance, financial services regulation and financial crime prevention;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues across different teams, functions and international locations;
- Professional fluency in English;
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify missing, inconsistent or unusual information;
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage recurring tasks, follow up on outstanding actions and meet deadlines.
