We are looking for a Data Engineer
MAIN TASKS
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure SQL.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to support data integration, transformation, and analytics initiatives.
- Develop solutions using PySpark and SQL, ensuring efficient data processing and performance.
- Design, implement, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database objects.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, BI teams, and business stakeholders to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
- Implement and support BI data models that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data platform performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of modern cloud-based data architectures, including Lakehouse environments.
- Ensure compliance with development standards, best practices, governance, and security requirements.
- Provide technical recommendations and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support project teams with a consulting-oriented mindset, helping translate business requirements into technical solutions.
YOUR PROFILE AND SKILLS
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure SQL.
- Solid programming skills in PySpark and SQL.
- Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT data integration solutions.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based data architectures and modern data platforms.
- Experience working with Lakehouse architectures and large-scale data environments.
- Ability to analyze technical requirements and propose effective data solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Consulting mindset with a proactive and customer-oriented approach.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and teamwork.
- English level B2 minimum.
- Location: Porto or Lisbon (depends on your location)
Nice to Have:
- Experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
- Knowledge of Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault, Log Analytics, and related Azure services.
- Experience with Power BI, including semantic modeling and DAX.
- Knowledge of Snowflake, dbt, Apache Airflow, or other cloud data platforms.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering solutions.
- Experience with data modeling, reporting, and data visualization initiatives.

- This role offers a gross annual salary between 28.000€ to 60.000€, defined according to the candidate’s experience and competencies.
