About the Role
We are looking for an ERP Application Support Specialist to take ownership of the day-to-day operational support of a business-critical ERP application currently supporting our UK division.
This is a hands-on application operations role. The core focus is to ensure application stability, reliable user support, incident resolution, documentation, testing, vendor coordination, and readiness for future transition into SAP S/4HANA.
You will be based within our SAP Competence Center in Porto and work closely with SAP functional and technical teams, business users, and external vendors.
This is not a pure SAP consulting role. It is ideal for someone who enjoys owning ERP applications in a live business environment and wants exposure to a global SAP S/4HANA transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day operational support for a business-critical ERP application
- Act as the primary IT contact for incidents, issues, and functional user queries
- Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate with SAP teams, business users, and vendors
- Support interfaces, integrations, and data consistency across systems
- Support releases, testing, minor enhancements, and documentation
- Maintain runbooks, support procedures, and application knowledge materials
- Work closely with SAP teams to align processes and prepare for future SAP S/4HANA transition
- Contribute to process mapping, gap analysis, knowledge transfer, and migration readiness
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in ERP application support, business applications support, or application operations
- Proven experience in ERP application support or application operations.
- Strong understanding of business processes and their translation into ERP systems.
- Experience working with or alongside SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) environments is a strong advantage.
- Experience supporting incidents, user queries, releases, testing, documentation, and vendor coordination
- Understanding of system integrations, interfaces, and data flows
- Fluent English
Nice to Have
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, chemicals, laboratory, or life sciences environments
- Experience supporting ERP transition, migration, or rollout activities
