Snapshot of your day
As BI Lead within the RE360 DataHub team of Real Estate, you are the analytics reliability owner for dashboards, reports, and data products delivered to senior leadership and operational stakeholders across the global portfolio. Your core accountability is ensuring that every analytics product reaching the business is accurate, performant, and stakeholder ready. You combine hands-on BI delivery (Power BI / Tableau) with end-to-end ownership of analytics quality standards, testing discipline, release readiness, and production support. In your day-to-day work, you bridge business requirements from RE teams and the technical implementation of reporting solutions built on Snowflake as the primary data platform, supplemented by approved data sources such as Excel/CSV extracts, SharePoint lists, and upstream system feeds where required. You partner with the Product Lead, Data Engineers, Business Process Owners, and Data Governance to enforce quality gates before releases reach stakeholders, and ensure that reported issues are triaged and resolved with clear accountability. In doing so, you are essential to scaling Real Estate’s analytics capability from project-driven delivery to a governed, reliable service supporting executive decision-making.
How You’ll Make an Impact
-
Design, build, and enhance RE360-owned dashboards (Power BI / Tableau) to deliver clear insights, consistent UX, and stakeholder-ready storytelling for senior leadership and operational teams.
-
Develop and maintain semantic models and reporting layers on top of the Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring alignment with canonical data definitions owned by Data Governance.
-
Translate business requirements into dashboard specifications, KPI definitions, filter logic, and visual layouts in close collaboration with the Product Lead and Business Process Owners.
-
Ensure all dashboards follow RE360 standards for naming conventions, visual consistency, row-level security, and refresh scheduling.
-
Investigate reported issues (data mismatches, refresh failures, performance degradation, filter logic errors) and isolate root cause across the analytics stack: BI / semantic model layer, DWH pipeline, and upstream data source.
-
Coordinate resolution across backend data engineers, the Product Lead, and data owners with clear ownership assignment; maintain a known-issues log and ensure transparent stakeholder communication throughout.
-
Drive BI quality standards including data validation protocols, regression testing, FAT/UAT readiness, and a defined "Definition of Done" for every dashboard release and semantic model change.
-
Run requirement clarification workshops to shape incoming demand into implementable specifications; maintain a KPI dictionary, filter logic documentation, and data lineage notes to reduce rework and interpretation disputes.
-
Provide regular status updates on analytics reliability metrics (refresh success rates, open incidents, resolution times) to the Product Lead and DA Program Lead.
-
Partner with the Senior Data Engineering Lead to identify upstream issues impacting BI outputs, coordinate remediation, and contribute consumer-side input to RE360 DataHub architecture and stability improvements.
