Mission of the Role:
The role partners closely with the European Commercial team to oversee and drive all financial aspects of the assigned business unit. It is responsible for developing robust financial business cases for new opportunities and collaborating with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Program Management—to define cost improvement roadmaps and maximize returns across the product lifecycle. By maintaining accurate and up-to-date program financials, the role ensures the long-term financial health and success of the business.
Key Objectives of the Role:

Lead finance activities for an assigned business unit, acting as a strategic business partner to the Commercial Lead.

Support and maintain program financials from acquisition through Start of Production (SOP).
-
Continuously monitor program financial performance throughout the product lifecycle, challenging assumptions, and identifying opportunities to optimize profitability.

Develop strategic business cases and financial roadmaps to drive improved returns over the business period.

Prepare and present financial analyses and recommendations to senior management.
-
Support customer negotiations, including pricing strategy and long-term agreements.
-
Optimize commercial margins, including current year financial impacts.
-
Analyze and report on sales and commercial margin performance; support annual budgeting and forecasting related to sales planning.

Ensure compliance with SOX controls, including review and reporting of Long Term Agreements (LTAs) in line with revenue recognition guidelines.

Monitor customer vehicle volumes, industry trends, and regulatory developments that may impact demand and commercial outcomes; prepare recovery claims when customer commitments are not met.

Participate in program reviews and meetings led by Program Managers, providing financial support as required.

Timely and accurate delivery of financials for Gate Reviews and change evaluations.

Effective support of sales forecasts and budget processes within defined timelines.

Regular tracking and follow-up of identified risks and opportunities.

Strong, collaborative relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

5–10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within an automotive manufacturing environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; MBA preferred.

General understanding of electronics manufacturing and quotation processes.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost structures, including overheads and key financial performance drivers.

Proven ability to build effective working relationships with plant teams, engineering, program managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Ability to synthesize insights related to customers, competition, and market dynamics.
-
Advanced skills in active listening, problem definition and resolution, financial analysis, research, and executive-level reporting.
