IT Manager – Endpoint Hardening & Patching (Lisbon)
Lead and deliver Amadeus’ endpoint hardening and patch management strategy across large‑scale Windows and Linux environments. This is a hands‑on leadership role , combining people management with deep technical ownership of automation, security compliance, and operational excellence.
- Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 systems engineers focused on patching, hardening, and compliance.
- Own and execute enterprise‑scale OS patch management for Windows and Linux, ensuring timely deployment of critical security updates.
- Design and maintain automated patching and configuration workflows using Ansible.
- Drive endpoint hardening initiatives aligned with CIS Benchmarks, DISA STIGs, and regulatory standards .
- Coordinate global maintenance windows while minimising business impact.
- Monitor patch success, resolve failures, and maintain full compliance reporting .
- Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams on security, automation, and operational improvements.
- Continuously improve processes to reduce operational toil and strengthen security posture.
- 7+ years of experience in Windows and Linux systems administration.
- Strong background in enterprise patching and security updates.
- Hands‑on automation experience (Ansible preferred); scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Solid understanding of security hardening and compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
- Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.
