We are looking for a
Junior P&L Analyst / Trading Support Analyst
MAIN TASKS
- Produce, validate and analyze Economic P&L figures and related P&L explanations (market movements, new deals, trading activity, etc.).
- Investigate discrepancies between official P&L results and Front Office estimates or forecasts.
- Perform detailed reviews of P&L Explain components and identify, correct, or escalate misallocations when necessary.
- Analyze and reconcile differences between Risk-based Market P&L and P&L Explain, ensuring all gaps are understood and properly documented.
- Review and validate the split of Economic P&L into liquidity and interest rate effects for ALMT perimeters.
- Produce and monitor Hedge Accounting controls in collaboration with Finance and Front Office teams.
- Prepare and submit P&L figures for Front Office sign-off.
- Collaborate closely with Trading, Risk, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial results.
- Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and streamline existing processes and controls.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and operational excellence while fostering effective internal relationships.
YOUR PROFILE AND SKILLS
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 0 to 2 years of professional experience in Finance, Financial Markets, P&L Control, Product Control, Risk Management, Audit, or a similar environment.
- Strong interest in Financial Markets, P&L analysis, Market Risk, and banking activities.
- Knowledge of financial products and market fundamentals is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to investigate discrepancies, perform reconciliations, and understand financial impacts.
- Comfortable working with data and conducting quantitative analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel; familiarity with SQL, VBA, Python, or other data analysis tools is considered a plus.
- Curious, eager to learn, and motivated to develop expertise in Financial Markets and P&L activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with Front Office, Risk, and Finance teams.
- Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
- English level B2 minimum.
