We are looking for a Software Engineer IA to help drive the adoption of Artificial Intelligence across our engineering teams. In this role, you will design and implement AI-powered solutions that enhance the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), while supporting development teams in adopting AI-assisted engineering practices.
Working across multiple squads, you will help identify opportunities to improve developer productivity, software quality, and engineering processes through the effective use of AI technologies. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone passionate about software development, AI-powered tooling, and continuous innovation.
Location: Porto, Portugal (Hybrid – 2 days/week)
- Design, prototype, and implement AI-powered solutions and intelligent agents that enhance the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Support engineering teams in adopting AI-assisted development practices and developer productivity tools.
- Promote the effective use of AI technologies across software engineering teams, sharing best practices and practical guidance.
- Help improve engineering processes by introducing AI-driven approaches throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Define and contribute to engineering standards, security practices, and governance for the responsible use of AI.
- Design and implement technical solutions that integrate AI into software engineering workflows while ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Evaluate emerging AI frameworks, SDKs, low-code/no-code platforms, and developer tools to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders to integrate AI into development workflows.
- Contribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions, and engineering initiatives involving AI-enabled software development.
- Build and continuously improve AI agents focused on increasing software development productivity, quality, and code security.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development within production environments, including large-scale and high-availability systems.
- Strong full-stack development experience with backend technologies such as .NET or Node.js and frontend frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering through architecture, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar), Infrastructure as Code, and software delivery automation.
- Hands-on experience using AI-powered developer tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex, or similar coding assistants.
- Strong interest in AI applied to software engineering, with the ability to evaluate and adopt emerging developer productivity technologies.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams and promoting technical best practices.
- Experience participating in code reviews, architecture discussions, and software quality initiatives.
- Ability to translate business requirements into pragmatic technical solutions and contribute to backlog refinement and technical estimation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience building AI agents or agentic workflows.
- Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into software engineering solutions.
- Knowledge of AI orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, or similar.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Knowledge of AI governance, security, or Responsible AI practices.
- Experience with Developer Experience (DevEx) initiatives.
