We are looking for a Cloud Application Production Support Engineer
Context
You will join the Wealth Management Application Production Support (APS) team, contributing to the stability and evolution of critical banking applications.
This role focuses on handling incidents, service requests, and support activities in a cloud-based and automation-driven environment.
You will work in shifts and on-call rotations, collaborating with international teams and contributing to continuous service improvement and disaster recovery activities.
Main Mission
To ensure the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of application production environments through support, automation, and cloud-native practices.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage incidents, service requests, and application support activities (L1/L2)
- Participate in on-call rotations and ensure high availability of applications
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployments using Ansible and Terraform
- Contribute to containerization of legacy applications
- Support disaster recovery (DR) and live-play activities
- Collaborate with teams to improve service performance and reliability
- Train and support team members on automation and container technologies
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Profile & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in IT Operations or Software Engineering
- Experience in application support within banking environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of core banking operations
- Ability to work in shifts and handle critical production environments
- Proactive mindset with strong ownership and autonomy
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- English – Expert
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Linux (CLI)
- Scripting: Python and/or Bash
- Infrastructure as Code: Ansible, Terraform
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (K8s)
- CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Concourse, Travis)
- Monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace)
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or IBM Cloud
- Database knowledge: PL-SQL
Nice to have
- Experience with legacy application modernization
- Red Hat Ansible (RH294 / DO374)
- Kubernetes (CKAD)
- Terraform Associate / Vault Associate
On-site work model, with full-time presence required in the Lisbon office.
