ROLE
We are currently recruiting a Lower Secondary teacher for The Arts, which will be comprised of Performance arts, Music & Sound and Visual Arts and Design, following the Cambridge International Curriculum. Teaching should also explore integrating technology to build on a wider project across Lower Secondary subjects.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
· Bachelor’s Degree in a Relevant Teaching Field.
· A strong dance and performance background (trained in a classical genre, a Degree in Dance or Theatre Studies, or another related field).
- Extensive previous experience in educational settings.
- The confidence to explore subjects from a wide range of cultures, with the ability to deliver innovative practical and engaging lessons.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with a commitment to learning Portuguese (if not already spoken).
- The ability to work collaboratively, within a cross-curricular teaching setting.
- A proactive approach and attentiveness to challenge and engage students.
- Excellent class management skills.
- Dedication to effectively track individual student needs, progress and development.
