We are a growing hospitality management company in Portugal, developing a portfolio of boutique serviced apartments, aparthotels, and small lifestyle hotels across Lisbon, Porto, Évora and other key destinations.
We are looking for a Head of Hospitality Operations / Pre-opening Director to lead the launch and operational setup of multiple upcoming hospitality projects.
This is not a traditional single-property hotel manager role. The ideal candidate should be able to build systems, coordinate pre-opening timelines, set operational standards, manage pricing and distribution strategy, and support the company in creating a scalable hospitality management platform.
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead pre-opening planning for new properties, including operational checklist, timeline, staff preparation, supplier coordination and soft-opening process
* Set up and improve SOPs for housekeeping, guest service, check-in/check-out, maintenance, complaints handling and quality control
* Work with the team on pricing, OTA strategy, channel management, occupancy targets and revenue performance
* Coordinate with interior design, procurement, construction and asset management teams before opening
* Train and supervise local property teams
* Monitor guest reviews, service quality and operational efficiency
* Support the company in building a consistent boutique hospitality brand and operating standard across multiple properties
Requirements:
* Experience in hotel, aparthotel, serviced apartment or boutique hospitality operations
* Pre-opening or multi-property experience is strongly preferred
* Good understanding of PMS, channel manager, OTA platforms and revenue management
* Strong organizational and execution skills
* Hands-on, practical, flexible and willing to work in a growing company environment
* Fluent Portuguese and English required; Chinese is a plus but not required
* Based in Portugal, preferably Lisbon or Porto, with ability to travel between projects
