We are looking for an In-house Legal Counsel to join our Legal team and support project finance, financing operations, and M&A activities. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-impact transactions, with a particular focus on structured finance and banking and financial matters.
Key responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including financing agreements, purchase and sale contracts, and other ancillary agreements

Provide legal advice on financing, banking transactions, and M&A activities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Support the structuring and execution of financing transactions through legal analysis and interpretation of relevant legislation

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient transaction processes

Guide internal teams on compliance requirements and best practices related to financing and M&A transactions
Requirements

Law degree (Master’s degree is a plus)

Admission to the Portuguese Bar Association (Ordem dos Advogados)

At least 5 years of professional experience in legal advisory, contract management, compliance, or related areas

Previous experience in banking, financial transactions, or structured finance is highly valued

Strong knowledge of Banking, Financial, and Corporate Law

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Proactive mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
